The cast and creators have been ~teasing~ a revival for years now and in a new interview, series creator Todd J. Greenwald confirmed that we are closer than ever to a WOWP reboot.

Greenwald explained that it wouldn’t just be a made-for-TV movie, but a full-on theatrical release that is “definitely mature.”

“Definitely just not the same Wizards we’re used to,” he told International Business Times.

“It’s the same characters, but it’s much more high-budget, mature and that would be cool. Definitely PG-13.”

He goes on to ~tease~ what a potential plotline could look like.

“Some big, end-of-the-universe thing that Alex and Justin would be saving,” he says.

He adds that there are so many questions that he would want answered, like:

“Does Alex have kids or not? Is Justin still at WizTech? Is Max still at the sub station? Do we even age it up and say that Jerry and Theresa got a divorce?”

OoOoOoOoOo, sounds dark!

Are you guys here for the more ~mature~ Wizards of Waverly Place?
