While fans of Baby, Sporty, Ginger and Scary Spice are covered – the resident fashionista Posh Spice has confirmed she will not be joining her girls.

And now the real reason Victoria Beckham rejected the chance to tour is coming out.

Apparently VB’s decision to not tour was made many moons ago back in 2012 after the closing ceremony of the London Olympics.

On August 12, the girl band would join music stars Annie Lennox, George Michael and the Pet Shop Boys to close the show.

Their surprise performance won gold across the globe, but rumour has it that it was a horrible experience for Posh.

Riding on top of the iconic British black cabs, they belted a medley of hits Wannabe and Spice Up Your Life.

But backstage, Beckham suffered a “full blown panic attack”.

“I was in the taxi with Emma before we started and I nearly just got out of the car. I was so nervous. I felt sick and Emma was so amazing,” Beckham admitted in an interview with Heart FM after the Olympics.

“Honestly, that’s how you know a real friend. If it wasn’t for her, I would not have been out there.”

A source told The Mirror just how serious the situation was:

“Victoria played down the incident but she basically had a full-on panic attack and was in a complete state. Emma was brilliant and gave her a big hug, saying, ‘It’s all gonna be OK, you look amazing’.”

Victoria has personally spoken out about her decision to forgo the reunion.

Taking to Instagram, the mum-of-four penned a heartfelt message, writing, “Today marks a special day for the girls as they announce the first tour dates since we performed together in 2012!”

Posh continued, “I won’t be joining my girls on stage again but being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish them so much love and fun as they go back on tour next year. I know they will put on an amazing show and the fantastic fans past and present are going to have a wonderful time! X vb #spicegirls.”

Beckham also released a statement, explaining she is unable to participate in the tour “because of her business commitments … but will always be one of the Spice Girls and remains aligned with Emma, Mel B, Melanie C and Geri in preserving their unique legacy.”
