Today we have been gifted with the greatest video ever: Taylor Swift battling to eat a banana.
Ms Swfit – the Princess of Pop – recently had Lasik eye surgery, and while she was recovering at home her mum decided to secretly record her while still under anaesthesia and it is honestly the greatest thing we’ve ever seen.
Appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy surprised Tay with the hilarious video and it is was all kinds of amazing.

In the video, an emotional Taylor – whose wearing comically large face googles – goes to open a banana before crying: “This isn’t even what I wanted.”
Her mum (who’s an absolute legend) was filming Taylor having a minor breakdown over her banana dilemma.
Then footage of Taylor curled up in bed wearing a cat jumper and attempting to eat a banana plays, forever seared into our memories as a true cinematic masterpiece.
Taylor’s mum then says: “don’t fall asleep while eating the banana”.
To which Taylor – who’s on ALL of the pain meds – says: “I’m not asleep, my mind is alive”.
The footage then switches back over to Jimmy Fallon who is losing his sh*t, and rightly so because this is amazing.
In other Taylor Swift news, the Lover singer revealed last month that she has signed on to be a mega-mentor on season 17 of The Voice US.
The popstar will be joining Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani (main judges of the show), but as a “mega mentor”, meaning she will most-likely help coach all teams.
“Swift will be on-hand to work with all four coaches and their teams to provide feedback, suggestions, and praise as the artists prepare for their performances,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.
