It is no secret that the beauty vlogger community was SHOOK TO THEIR CORE when Tati unleashed a series of allegations against former friend and protégé, James Charles

For those who need a little refresher, earlier this year Tati released a 43-min long YouTube video made to #cancel James, which detailed a time James allegedly tried to hit on a waiter named Sam Cooke at Tati’s birthday dinner one year.

Pretty quickly the world jumped on the ‘hate James Charles’ train, and what followed was back and forth claims from Sam Cooke (the waiter) Tati and James.

It was a truly wild (and kinda awful) time.

So why is this all being re-hashed once again?

Well, in Shane and Jeffree Star’s YouTube series documenting the making of their Conspiracy Collection, there was some teaser footage of Shane reacting to the James and Tati drama.

Fans were obviously gagging to know what Shane thought of the whole scandal, so when the six-episodes went without addressing Dramageddon 2.0, people were mad.

And luckily for us, Shane listened and then delivered.

In the final episode of the series, “The Beautiful World of Shane Dawson” we finally see Shane reacting to James losing 2 million sibribers in one day, as he’s watching Tati’s video next to his fiancé Ryland.

“I feel like everything has gone way too far,” Shane say.

“The internet is such like an, ‘oh let’s jump on this sh*t, let’s milk this sh*t’…and I totally get it. I understand 100%, but we know this personal.”

Shane continues: “We lifted this person up.

“And so quickly, like I’ve never seen before, they f*cking dropped him down. It was so immediate and such a flip that it’s scary and sad.”

James recently touched on the old drama with Tati in his new interview with Paper Magazine, addressing the claims that he tried to “trick” and “seduce” straight men into being with him.

If you all remember, soon after Tati’s video the waiter in question came out with his own video that backed Tati’s claims… HOWEVER, it didn’t take long for him to backtrack and say that he was only making those accusations for the clout… meaning James was telling the truth all along.

“The reality is that the ‘hook-up’ was completely consensual,” James said to Paper. “[The waiter] told me that he was bisexual and later on told the world he was bisexual. There’s nothing wrong with that.”

James discussed how the accusations were highly damaging to the LGBTQ+ community.

“What that statement implies is that gay men are all predatory, which is disgusting, not true and very dangerous to put out there. The whole situation was scary for the LGBTQ+ community and paints a really bad picture of gay men.”

While James is back on track with his work and personal life, the drama affected his mental health.

“I’m not mentally in a place where I want to be,” he continued. “What’s even harder to swallow is that it’s been six months since all the drama happened. I thought by this time I’d be completely good— back to normal, if you will— and that’s not the case.”
