Vanessa Sunshine: Nick isn’t cute and women are faking their attraction

She reveals what the women really say about him.

Former Bachelor favourite Vanessa Sunshine says she feels sorry for Nick Cummins, as he’s not the good-looking hunk that most of the women were hoping for.

Sharing her feelings in a stunningly frank interview with WHO’s TV podcast, Binge List, Vanessa didn’t hold back as she suggested some of the women on the show were only sticking it out in the love competition for TV exposure.

“He’s definitely not the traditional Bachelor type and they really had to sell the public on him,” Vanessa told Binge List.

“It must be really s***, to put yourself in that position and have people judge you so harshly.

“He’s literally had to say to an entire nation, “I know I’m not good looking, I know I’m not what you thought you’d get”. Not just to the girls but he’s had to say it to an entire nation.

“And that would hurt, so good on him.”

Speaking of the nasty things other women have said about Nick since leaving the mansion, Vanessa was asked if she thought some of their prior enthusiasm for the star was insincere, and perhaps down to them wanting a spot on Bachelor In Paradise. And it seems the answer is yes!

.

“I think it’s a bit contradictory when other people have come out and they’re saying not very nice things about his appearance, when it’s not the tune they were singing in there,” she says.

Regarding her own very frank statements about her lack of attraction for Nick, Vanessa is making no excuses. And she says she’s proud of the fact she was upfront with him.

“Yes, what I said to him wasn’t nice, but I think you can tell I didn’t say it in a malicious way,” she told Binge List.

“I genuinely did not know who Nick was, I figured it out after I was eliminated; that that was his trademark look and things like that.”

Despite her view that Nick wasn’t the right guy for her, Vanessa told the podcast that her feelings about him as a person remain positive.

“He wasn’t really for me, and, yes he really does talk like that,” she says of his trademark way of talking.

“He’s a nice guy at the end of the day, he’s not an awful person or anything like that.”
