For most of the dreamy Netflix film To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, Lara Jean (Lana Condor) thinks she’s in love with her sister’s ex-boyfriend Josh, played by Israel Broussard. But, with Josh’s help, she realises that her heart actually belongs to cutie Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo).
The TATBILB sequel – called P.S I Still Love You – is currently filming and Lana and Noah have been sharing behind the scenes pics but Israel has been noticeably absent and that’s because he’s not appearing in this film at all.
“I’m not going to be in the sequel,” Israel told Entertainment Tonight. “There’s three books… I believe I make an appearance in the third one, but Noah and Lana are all up there filming, and they’re having a great time.”
Despite not being there, the 24-year-old said that he has been in contact with his co-stars.
“I was talking to them a little while ago and they are having a good time, they’re excited to share it with everyone,” he said.
It’s not super surprising that Josh won’t be in the second film considering that this one focuses on the love triangle between Lara Jean, Peter and John Ambrose (played by Jordan Fisher).
But, we’re pretty certain that the third book will be made into a movie (fingers crossed!) so hopefully we will see Israel around then!
