From Cole Sprouse to Billie Eilish, people on TikTok are revealing their celebrity look-a-likes and it’s uncanny

Who do you look like?

Has anyone ever said you remind them of someone? Not in how you act but in how you look? With roughly 7.5 billion people in the world, we’re bound to have look-a-likes walking among us. So, fittingly, there’s a new TikTok trend about who you look like and it, like the mass population of the world, has gone viral.

The trend basically sees you dressed up as your fictional or famous doppelgangers, and flash-cutting back and forth from photos of them and yourself, all to the beat of “Pyro” by Chester Young and Castion. Naturally, the trend plays with the idea of stop motion and how fast-cut pictures can give the illusion it’s in motion, much like classic animation.

The trend first blew up after TikTok user @sxneadbailey released a video on the 28th July, which showed her having a striking resemblance to a bunch of characters thanks to her black Bettie bang hair. Namely, Uma Therman in Pulp Fiction, Gemma Arteton in St. Trinian’s, Edna from The Incredibles and, uh, well… Lord Farquad from Shrek.

Then, people started copying the Lord Farquad-look-alike with clips of their own. Some, realised they look like Dacre Montgomery and Jacob Elordi. Others looked like a young Alicia Silverstone in Clueless, Maisie Williams in Game of Thrones or J-Hope from BTS. One thing we can all agree on though is that this new trend is absolutely wild.

A decent amount of people look like cartoon characters, from Flynn Rider in Disney’s Tangled to Katara in Avatar: The Last Airbender, too.

And, if you want to learn how to do it yourself, there’s a tutorial too. Essentially, you do it all via a video editing app on your phone. First, download a gif of your doppelganger and then record yourself from a similar angle doing the same action. Then, readjust both so that they match and splice them up frame by frame, merging together the two clips in a frame by frame constant cut back and forth, thereby creating a flash animated effect and blurring the two together.

Slow it down if you guys need to🦋 it’s not as difficult as it might look i promise #tutorial #ilooklike #videotutorial #fyp

Another recent TikTok that’s melting our brains with an uncanny resemblance is this user’s resemblance to none other than Rihanna. Even the legend herself commented on the spookily similar face.

The singer joked, “where’s the album sis? #R9,” referencing the long wait fans have endured so far waiting for her ninth studio album. You can watch the viral TikTok, which has been watched nearly 12 million times below.
