The Weeknd hasn’t released an album since his highly successful ‘Starboy’ in 2016… so the rapper is gearing up for something big! So big, that its set to make waves with Selena Gomez fans.

E! Online reports that The Weeknd, real name Abel Tesfaye, has registered a song named “Like Selena” for a song with the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, which is undoubtedly about his relationship with the “Lose You To Love Me” singer.

The rapper returned to Instagram recently after being MIA for a long time, posting two photos with the caption: “The fall starts tomorrow night,” and “TONIGHT WE START A NEW BRAIN MELTING PSYCHOTIC CHAPTER! LET’S GO!”… seemingly teasing new music.

The Weeknd and Selena dated for 10 months when they dated in 2017.

Selena has recently joined the music industry again, releasing two new singles, “Lose You To Love Me” and “Look At Her Now”, both about her break up with Justin Bieber, who she dated for the second time following her split from The Weeknd.

But her ties with The Weeknd have not been cut just yet. Earlier this month, Selena made it clear that she ‘missed’ Abel after commenting on an Instagram photo of him.

“I MISS YOU GUYS!!!” wrote Selena on a photo of Emily Ratajkowski, her husband, and The Weeknd while at Kendall Jenner’s birthday party.
