WATCH the announcement video below.

The series, created by Chris Keyser somewhat feels like a cross between Gossip Girl and Lord of the Flies revolves around an upscale New England town where a group of humans are left to fend for themselves after the entire world just disappears.

Its freshman season left fans with a lot of questions so it is good news to everyone’s ears that the streaming hit has been given another season.

Keyser previously revealed to The Hollywood Reporter shared his hopes for the upcoming new season.

He dished “[S]eason [one] deals a lot with men versus women, and it deals only briefly with race, but I think you can expect that conversation about class and race to keep coming up, all these things need to be re-litigated in a world in which there are no givens. We hope, over time, and if we’re lucky enough to get a season two, to explore all the social contract questions that we take for granted.”

In the above announcement video, Kathryn Newton (Allie Pressman) and her fellow castmates share their excitement of the series renewal news.
