We might need to drink a calming potion very soon, because the original cast of Harry Potter are coming back to lend their voices to the mobile game.
And don’t EVEN @ us about Snape (Alan Rickman) right now either because we’re still not okay about that.
Entertainment Weekly reports that Maggie Smith (Professor McGonagall), Warwick Davis (Professor Flitwick), Sally Mortemore (Madam Pince), Gemma Jones (Madam Pomfrey) and THE BEST TIL LAST… Michael Gambon is coming back as Professor Dumbledore to help the mobile game Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery be as authentic as possible.
We’re crying. A lot.
We aren’t sure how we will react the first time we hear those iconic voices yelling at us through our phones, but we do know it’ll be a pretty monumental moment.
According to Chris DeWolfe, (co-founder and CEO of Jam City which is the company creating Hogwarts Myster), “Our goal with *Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is to make players really feel for the first time like they’re attending Hogwarts,” he told EW. “By including these iconic and incredibly talented actors in the game, we come one step closer to truly giving fans their own Hogwarts experience.”
No word yet on any other actors joining the game, but would you die if Rupert Grint, Emma Watson or Daniel Radcliffe made a surprise cameo?
We would.
Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery will be available on iOS and Android platforms starting Wednesday, April 25.
