FYI fam: Matt and Chelsie are very much in love.
After The Bachelor finale, the majority of Australia was slightly relieved that astrophysicist Matt Agnew had chosen fellow adorable science nerd Cheslie McLeod, to be his girlfriend.
However – and as is often the way post-Bachelor finale – a little bit of drama has followed the couple, with many people on social media pointing out that while on the reality TV show, it seemed Matt had way more of a ~physical~ connection with runner-up Abbie Chatfield.

Abbie herself has touched on this, telling Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa that both she and Chelsie shared an intellectual and physical connection with Matt, it’s just editors decided to fixate on one for each woman because it probably made for a better story.
“You only see 5 percent of our entire date,” Abbie said.
“So everyone’s kind of focusing on my sexual chemistry with Matt verse the intellectual chemistry [with Chelsie], I think we had a mix of both, [but] I think that’s what was kind of chosen to be focused on.”
Despite this, the rumour mill has continued to churn out such stories, including the absolute doozy which is the most recent ‘Abbie being pregnant with Matt’s baby’ scandal.
Responding to the drama, an unfazed Matt has made it really clear where his heart lies, recently taking to Instagram to post a sweet dedication post to Chelsie.
Posting a photo of Chelsie sitting in a makeup chair, Matt wrote: “With or without makeup: babe.”
So cute!
