While we hear about the cancellation of Lucy Hale’s new show Life Sentence, we’ve been waiting patiently to hear about The 100.
Thankfully… it’s being renewed!!!
Ever since season 5 premiered on April 25, fans have been waiting for this news, so it’s now official that the show will continue onto season 6!
Creator of the show Jason Rothenberg tweeted this video of Marie Avgeropoulos, (who plays Octavia Blake on the show), reacting to the amazing news.
Back in January, President of The CW Mark Pedowitz revealed that Jason has “a six or seven-year plan” for the show… which means we could potentially get another season after this new one!
“I know [Jason] has a plan beyond year five,” he told Nerdist. “He may have a six or seven-year plan to it. I don’t know if I’m allowed to even say that, that he has a plan beyond year five, but he does.”
