She’s known as the ultimate girl-next-door, but Bindi Irwin well and truly cast aside her wholesome image for Halloween this year.
The 19-year-old wildlife warrior stunned fans by posing as Lois Lane to boyfriend Chandler Powell‘s Clark Kent in a sexy Instagram snap.
And while followers of the daughter of the late Steve Irwin were quick to compliment the couple on the loved-up photo, there was once person who wasn’t too impressed with the Australia Zoo ambassador’s new look – her mum Terri Irwin!
‘Terri wasn’t very happy with Bindi’s sexy Halloween photo and made her feelings known to Bindi and Chandler,’ says a source. ‘She loves Bindi and Chandler to bits, but feels they crossed the line with Bindi’s costume and that it was just too raunchy and over the top.’
Gazing up at Chandler, 20, Bindi wore a plunging white shirt and tight, high-waisted pencil skit, – completing the look by sweeping her hair into a bun, donning a pair of spectacles and wearing a sexy red lipstick.
It was a far cry from Bindi’s usual loose khaki pants and make-up free face. So it’s no wonder that 53-year-old Terri was so concerned about the young lovers potentially damaging the clean-cut Irwin brand.
So, perhaps it’s no surprise that just days later, protective Terri was spotted along with Bindi’s younger brother Robert, 13, chaperoning the couple on date night in Brisbane.
And while Bindi is happy to listen to her mum’s advice, sources close to the Irwin’s say that Chandler couldn’t help but feel a bit put out that Terri doesn’t trust them.
