All the way back in 2008, Taylor Swift was dating Joe Jonas and they were the ~it-couple~.
But things didn’t work out for the lovebirds and Joe ended up breaking up with Taylor over the phone.
Shortly after, Taylor went on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and put Mr. Jonas on blast.
The 29-year-old has again appeared on The Ellen Show and she expressed her remorse at the blast.
During the ‘Burning Questions’ segment, Ellen asked Taylor “What is the most rebellious thing you did as a teenager?”
“Probably when I like put Joe Jonas on blast on your show,” Taylor answered. “That was too much, that was too much. I was 18, yeah. We laugh about it now, but that was mouthy, yeah, some teenage stuff there.”
In case you haven’t seen the original footage from 2008, Ellen was interviewing Taylor about the release of her then-new album ‘Fearless’ and she asked Tay about her Jonas Brother boyfriend.
“That guy’s not in my life anymore, unfortunately,” she said. “That’s ouch…We haven’t talked since, but you know what, some day I’m gonna find someone really, really great who’s right for me. […] When I look at that person, I’m not even going to remember the boy who broke up with me over the phone in 25 seconds when I was 18.”
Ouch.
Despite the beef back in the day, Taylor and Joe have been on friendly terms for years now. Joe dated Taylor’s bestie Gigi Hadid back in 2015 and he even went on double dates with Gigi, Taylor and her then-boyfriend Calvin Harris.
These days, Joe is married to mega babe Sophie Turner and Taylor is happily dating British actor Joe Alwyn.
