Twilight is what it is BECAUSE of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. WE STAN.
But it could have all been so much different.
Author Stephenie Meyer actually had her own dream cast, and it’s completely out of this world.
To commemorate the film’s tenth anniversary, BuzzFeed found an old post from Stephenie’s site, where she explained who she originally wanted.
“My opinions on the movie matter to no one. I have no influence on what goes on with the movie at all. No one is going to ask who I think should star in Twilight,” she wrote.
“The only actor I’ve ever seen who I think could come close to pulling off Edward Cullen is […] Henry Cavill,” she revealed.
“The most disappointing thing for me is losing my perfect Edward. Henry Cavill is now twenty-four-years-old. Let us have a moment of quiet in which to mourn….” she wrote.
As for Bella, Stephenie either wanted Ellen Page, Danielle Panabaker, or Emily Browning.
“Just look at those lips! Love her!” she wrote about Emily.
For Carlisle Cullen, she originally wanted Charlie Hunnam.
Stephenie wanted either John C. Reilly for Charlie or Vince Vaughn/Adam LeFevre.
Rachel Leigh Cook would have played Alice.
