A new Stan original teen thriller is in the works, and it sounds juicy.
According to Screen Australia, Stan recently commissioned Eden, an eight-part Aussie teen mystery series created by Skins creator Bryan Elsley and Australian award-winning emerging writer-director Vanessa Gazy (Highway). Set in the real life paradise of Byron Bay, New South Wales, Eden follows a community after a young girl goes missing, and her mysterious disappearance shakes up the entire town.
Not much else is known about the series except it has a fantastic A+ cast. The show is led by Sophie Wilde and BeBe Bettencourt, alongside Keiynan Lonsdale (Love, Simon), Cody Fern (American Horror Story), Cassandra Sorrell (The Ugliest Duckling), Claude Jabbour (Stateless), Alexandria Steffensen (Happy Feet), Christopher James Baker (Ozork, Stargirl) and Samuel Johnson (Molly).
As the report continues, “acclaimed filmmaker John Curran (Bloom) will serve as set-up director on the series, with AACTA Award-winner Mirrah Foulkes (Judy & Punch) also attached to direct.”
Eden is currently in production in Ballina, New South Wales and will later release exclusively on Stan.
