In case you SOMEHOW missed it, Drake has a new album out, Scorpion.
But of course, you haven’t missed it, especially if you use Spotify… because the platform has been spamming the shit out of promoting him.
And while we love Drake and that really isn’t an issue for us, it is for some people.
People are annoyed that his new music is EVERYWHERE, especially in places it doesn’t belong. They claim they “had his image on playlists that didn’t even contain his music, like ‘Massive Dance Hits,’ ‘Best of British’ and ‘Happy Pop Hits,’ for example,” reports Tech Crunch.
Premium users believe that it counts as advertising – something they’ve paid extra to not have to deal with.

“I paid for ad-free music. Are you going to refund this month since the entire browse section is a Drake advertisement?” one customer tweeted.
“Why am I paying for an ‘ad-free’ service?” wrote another. “No recommendation algorithm would suggest I’d actually listen to Drake.”
@Spotify Wondering when i get my refund for my AD-FREE premium subscription since you've flooded my account with ads this month for this crappy Drake album.

Why am I paying for an "ad-free" service? No recommendation algorithm would suggest I'd actually listen to Drake….
