Seth Rogen and Andy Samberg are making a Fyre Festival movie and god save us all

This will be iconic.

If you haven’t yet seen the Fyre Festival documentary on Netflix, please do right now!! If anything, for this guy…

.
God bless this guy.

Now, the clusterf*** of a ‘festival’ will be immortalised with a movie, made by none other than Seth Rogen and Andy Samberg’s Lonely Island.

Seth actually posted his idea about the movie in 2017, a few days after the disastrous

In a tweet, he wrote: “This seems like a good time to mention the movie we are making with The Lonely Island about a music festival that goes HORRIBLY WRONG.”

The Lonely Island responded, “For real, thinking about suing for stealing our idea.”

The real-life ‘luxury music festival,’ organised by Billy McFarland, CEO of Fyre Media Inc., and rapper Ja Rule failed from horrifically bad planning, mediocre security, budget tents, and those sad sandwiches.

It resulted in memes, documentaries, and even jail time for Billy who faces fraud charges.

Lonely Island member Jorma Taccone confirmed the movie news during an interview with The Daily Beast.
“I don’t want to divulge all the details but we’re figuring it out right now. You’ve seen the docs, right? It’s crazy. This is something that Akiva [Schaffer] and Seth cooked up, and we’re figuring it all out right now.”
We can’t wait!
