It seems like it’s been about 3,000 years that fans have been waiting for Selena Gomez to release her new album, and it basically has been!
And the wait isn’t over. Sigh.
Selena hasn’t released an album since Revival in 2015, but has released a few singles here and there. She told PopSugar that she’s just waiting for the perfect moment to release it.
“I don’t know when the right moment is,” she said. “And I really mean that, not in a way that I’m trying to be mysterious or cool.
“It’s hard to have a voice and make sure that your content means something,” she continued.
We first got an update about her new music was when she uploaded a photo of herself in the studio 4 months ago.
“Currently. Until the next year. Here’s where I’ll be.”
She also teased her album when she was named Billboard’s 2017 Woman of the Year.
“To be honest, I feel like I have two albums already completed, but I’m wanting to figure it out,” she said. “So it’s a lot sooner than I think people anticipate. I want to call the shots, I want it to be good, I want to be ready, I don’t want to do anything that’s forced. It will be soon.”
