Your girl Sabrina Carpenter has just scored her first MAJOR role since Girl Meets World came to an end and we’re so darn happy for her!
The 18-year-old is set to star in the new NBC series, So Close. Deadline reports that the comedy series is written by the same peeps who wrote cult classics Friends and Will & Grace so you just KNOW it’s going to be hilar!
Sabrina will play Jessica the “sweet and adorable” roommate who is “always shocking people with the crazy/confusing things that come out of her mouth”.
There’s no word yet as to when the series will hit TV screens but filming is set to start V. soon.
Since bringing the beloved character Maya to life in GMW, Sabrina has had minor roles in animated Disney Channel shows like Sofia the First and Milo Murphy’s Law, but we’re so stoked that she’s scored another (well deserved) big break.
