Ruby Rose has just undergone surgery for a back problem that she’s dealt with for “years.” The actress shared the news with fans on social media today, along with photos of herself in a wheelchair (and a kick-ass ‘Strong Female Lead’ tee).
“So..For the past few years (decade) I’ve been dealing with a spine issue,” Ruby wrote on Twitter. “I am now recovering from a back procedure, but I do need to stay active, so before I get seen with my cane and wheel chair in public, I’d rather put it out there that I’m fine and going to be fine.”
Ruby also shared a photo with her girlfriend, Jess Origliasso of the Veronicas, on Instagram.
“Behind every strong female lead is another strong female lead,” she wrote.
The actress seemed to be in good spirits post-procedure, writing on Twitter that she was keen to hear suggestions from fans about some movies, shows and games to keep her entertained during recovery.
“What I need to know now is when I’m not wheeling around LA like a 102 year old, what movies, shows, books and video games do you suggest… I’m buying a switch.. I’m looking at you @chrissyteigen what games should I get?”
