Robert Pattinson Actually Lied In Order To Get His Role As Cedric Diggory In Harry Potter

Lying on your resumé is wrong, but embellishing a few details isn’t so bad is it? According to Robert Pattinson, if it gets you the chance of a lifetime you should just go for it! And turns out telling a couple porkies is how he got cast as Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter!

Rob’s reasons that in the USA they couldn’t ~really~ prove he didn’t attend a prestigious university. He says: “I’d been unemployed for ages, and when I came to Los Angeles all the casting directors would ask what I’d been doing for the past few years. I’d say, ‘Oh, I was at RADA (Royal Academy of Dramatic Art)’ – if you’ve got an English accent you can get away with it. I’d say I went to Oxford, too. I did it for years.”

Now we’re not sure if he lied to get cast in Twilight too, but we’re not even mad. We’re just happy his face entered our lives
