Cue the tissues Riverdale fans because production has officially begun on Luke Perry tribute episode, which just so happens to be the very first episode of season four.

The entire cast from The CW and Netflix hit appeared in a sweet tribute to their former co-star who sadly passed away last year after suffering a stroke at the age of 52.
Alice Cooper, aka Mädchen Amick posted a cast photo on Instagram during a table-read for the upcoming season’s premiere which has been titled “In Memoriam.”
Amick caption the post with “There was nothing but love, memories and mourning for our beloved Luke as we honor him in our first episode back ❤️ #wemissyouluke #inmemoriam #riverdale #S4 #tableread”
It was previously hinted at by Riverdale showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa that season four would honour the late actor, who played Archie’s father Freddie Andrews in the popular teen series.
“Probably the most important episode of #Riverdale we’ll do this year, if not ever. A tribute to our fallen friend. Thankful for this opportunity to honor Luke & Fred” described Aguirre-Sacasa.
