We all obsess over our fave celebs, movies and TV shows in different ways. Some of us collect the star’s merch, some of us rewatch their shows and flicks over and over and some of us even create fan accounts to support them.
But unfortunately, there are people out there who get so carried away with fan girling that they become aggressive when things don’t go their way and some of them even send death threats to celebs.
Upcoming Riverdale actress Vanessa Morgan has admitted that she has already received death threats even though her character Toni Topaz hasn’t even graced the screen yet.
Pulled straight from the comics, Toni causes dramz for Bughead when he becomes close to old mate Jughead at Southside High and apparently this is srsly ticking off some Riverdale fans.
“I’ve already had some death threats,” Vanessa revealed to Glamour.
“But the thing is, it’s half death threats because they don’t want that [actually] happening, and there’s half that’s just all love. Who knows if [my character coming between Bughead] is even going to happen. People are just jumping to conclusions.”
Despite these terrifying threats, she is still tight AF with her co-stars and is super keen for season 2 to hit up Netflix later this year.
“Lili and Cole are awesome, and they have been nothing but welcoming to me. It’s great doing scenes with them. I feel lucky that everyone has been so nice. And Madelaine Petsch [who plays Cheryl Blossom] is my best friend in real life!”
She also isn’t letting the haters stop her from doing what she came to do which is to represent the bi-sexual community.
“I hope the lesson is, Don’t judge a book by its cover, by someone’s upbringing, or by who they love. I hope people watch Toni and think, Why are we judging people? I would love that if people took that from my character.”
