So, if you don’t wanna know went down, turn back now.

.

Episode 3 of Riverdale was pretty insane. We find out that this serial killer means business and wants to go after anyone who ~sins~ (OK John Kramer). But episode 4 is even more intense.

Thankfully, Archie comes to rescue with his hot shirtless band of men in the red circle…!

Anyway, this episode was #craycray so let’s dive right in.

THE RED CIRCLE

Archie’s video has gone viral, and he’s copping the HEAT for it. His principle cancels the entire football team, Veronica’s parents want her to dump him, Fred Andrews is PISSED and the Southside serpents, mainly Sweetpea, want his head.

We see the huge tension between the young serpents and Archie’s red circle escalate this episode, with the southside thinking the Northside are blaming the serpents for the attempted killings.

Anyway, Archie threatens them with a freaking gun, which leads to a major brawl between the two sides in the middle of the street in the pouring rain.

Dilton is stabbed in the leg. Veronica saves the day by shooting a gun in the air and the serpents scatter.

Hectic.

BETTY COOPER

The last person we’d want to be RN in Riverdale is Betty. Not only did she receive a letter from ‘the blackhood’ himself saying that her Jubilee speech (last season) inspired all his killings, but Toni Topaz is seriously moving in on Jughead and we’re NOT here for it.

Thankfully, we have Kevin backing her up when Toni makes fun of her ponytail.

It doesn’t stop there though, Toni accuses Betty of hating the serpents, her and JUGHEAD included. How dare she cause this divide in their relationship.

Betty also receives a coded letter from the killer, which she realises only she can crack. Why? Because it’s from a Nancy Drew book she used to check out from the library all the time when she was younger.

So basically, the killer is somebody who knows Betty very wellwhich isn’t creepy at all……

THE LODGE FAMILY

Veronica confronts her dad Hiram about manipulating Archie into the red circle video. Yep, she’s onto you Hiram, you’re not as clever as you think.

While Hiram and Hermione are at an emergency town meeting, they tell each other quietly that Fred Andrews is going to be a problem for them regarding this whole serial killer mess.

Hmmmm…

Anywayssss, while the meeting commences, Betty cracks the code of the letter, which reveals “I will strike next where it all began,” – town freaking hall where all the adults are RN.

They rush to their rescue, and save the day? We aren’t sure, but nobody gets killed/shot.

THE CLIFFHANGER

Because each episode has to end on something huge, duh! This time, it’s Betty receiving a call from an unknown number. She answers. It’s a deep, muffled voice, which is obviously the black hood.

DAYUM.

Why is this person soooo obsessed with Betty?? Who the hell could it be? It’s obviously an older man, which we have seen in the previous episodes. You can read fan theories here on who people believe the killer is.
