Heads up Pitch Perfect fans and lovers of a cappella tunes and sick beats! A fourth film of the popular a cappella musical comedy starring Anna Kendrick, Anna Camp and Rebel Wilson might be on the way.
In a recent interview on Collider’s Ladies Night podcast, Anna Camp (who played Aubrey in the trilogy) talked about a potential fourth film in the Pitch Perfect franchise, admitting that “we all wanna do one! We all would be like, ‘Come On!’”
“We wanna do it until we’re old and we’re acting in a retirement home,” The Lovebirds star said. When asked about exploring the future lives of each of The Bellas singers, Camp said, “I would want to see what’s happening.”
“Does Fat Amy [played by Rebel Wilson,] have kids? Do Fat Amy and Bumper [Adam DeVine] have a family? How cool would that be, in about five years to see what happens to all of these characters that you know and love.”
The last Pitch Perfect film released in 2017. It followed The Bellas after they won the World Championship and split, reuniting once again for an overseas singing competition. Assumedly, if we were to see a Pitch Perfect 4, it’s unlikely it’d be in production this year given the Covid-19 pandemic. But, we are so here for the idea of seeing what the gang is up to in the next decade.
“I’m sure they can put us into some wild, crazy situations,” concluded Camp.
