People Are Outraged Over Kendall Jenner’s “Disrespectful” Pepsi Ad

"She has NEVER spoken out on social injustices."

Pepsi might have had good intentions with their latest commercial but the internet is NOT here for it.

The ad is called ‘Live For Now Moments Anthem’ and it stars Kendall Jenner, who is now caught up in all the drama.

To give you a quick summary, there’s a massive (but peaceful) street protest going on right near where a blonde Kenny is posing up a storm for a photoshoot. She eventually joins in after ripping off her blonde wig and randomly (SPOILER ALERT) gives a police officer a can of Pepsi, which somehow saves the day and makes everyone real happy. Riiiiight.

Anyway, people are pretty upset about the whole thing. Not only does the video already have WAY more dislikes than likes (5.6k compared to 1.5k at the time of writing) but a quick look at the comments and it’s pretty brutal…

“right !! because a white skinny privileged girl is the key to solving all of our political problems even though the only thing she does is parade through life and has never commented on any of the social injustices other people go through !! yass kendall !! slay !!”

“This literally represents everything wrong with white liberals and why nobody is taking them seriously anymore. Trying to portray protesting, social activism, and the fears we minorities have about our f**king LIVES as something “fun”, trendy and marketable. Just wow.”

“Kendall Jenner saves the day although she has NEVER spoken out on social injustices, she is the key piece to ending the resistance!”

“Protests are not a cool, new, ”trend”. Protests do not equal valid subjects to sell soda. Have some respect for the rights that these protestors are fighting to keep.”

Savage! And it’s not any better on Twitter, people are PEEVED.

Pepsi was obviously trying to represent people coming together and loving each other no matter your race, sexuality, gender or religion but uniting everyone with soft drink? In this case, looks like they totally missed the mark.
