Taylor Swift has decided to let her fans in on the intimate process of writing her newest single, “Gorgeous” and you can bet your diamonte snake ring that they were left SHOOK.
As you know, Taylor previously let fans know that the song is about her current boyfriend Joe Alwyn, but everyone has also picked up on the subtle references about her ex Calvin (or even Tom Hiddleston.)
In her new video, Taylor reveals the original lyrics to the song, and they’re so much more shady than what she produced at the end.
These are the lyrics we know and love:
“And I got a boyfriend, he’s older than us/ He’s in the club doing I don’t know what/ You’re so cool it makes me hate you so much/ I hate you so much.”
But the ORIGINAL read:
“And I’ve got a boyfriend, he’s older than us/ I haven’t seen him in a couple of months/ I go through phases when it comes to love,” as well as, “And I’ve got a boyfriend, he’s older than us/ I haven’t seen him in a couple of months/ My reputation precedes both of us.”
