It’s the book we’ve seen all over our TikTok FYP, and One of Us is Lying is now going to hit a new platform entirely.

Bestselling novel One of Us Is Lying by Karen M. McManus, which you can shop here, has officially been turned into a series, and it’s coming to Stan as soon as this week.
For those of you who read the book, you’ll know that One of Us Is Lying tells the story of five high school students who walk into detention, and only four walk out alive.
While it looks like it could be an accident at first, the other four students in detention end up becoming murder suspects, and the mystery-drama series, which officially drops on Stan on October 8, tries to uncover the truth.
Here, we take a look at all the characters, and the talented actors who have been cast to play them.
Annalisa Cochrane as Addy
American actress Annalise, who you may recognise for her role as Yasmine in Cobra Kai, will play ‘The Blonde’ Addy.
Addy is a popular cheerleader at Bayview High, and while she makes high school look easy, she has quite a few secrets she’d like to keep hidden.
More than anything, she’s afraid that if people really knew her, her whole world might fall apart.
Chibuikem Uche as Cooper
Chibuikem is best known for his role in The Tomorrow War and also in American Housewife, and in One of Us Is Lying, he’ll play ‘The Brawn’ Cooper.
Cooper is a dominant high school baseball pitcher who has his whole life ahead of him. After he’s scouted by the major leagues, Cooper is on the verge of signing a life-changing professional deal – unless something (or someone) gets in his way.
Marianly Tejada as Bronwyn
Actress Marianly has starred in a number of roles, including in Orange Is The New Black and The Purge, and in this new series, she’ll play Bronwyn.
Bronwyn is your typical ‘Brain’ who’s at the top of her class, and she’s so focused on the future she rarely thinks about the present.
Most classmates admire her more than they like her, and a few rivals wonder how far she’d go to get ahead.
Cooper van Grootel as Nate
Aussie actor Cooper has had a number of roles in his career, including stints in The Legend of Gavin Tanner, Mystery Road, and Go!. In One of Us Is Lying, he’ll play Nate.
Coming in as ‘The Bad-Ass’, Nate is the school’s most notorious drug dealer and a delinquent who lives alone with his alcoholic father. But that’s not the only reason he’s the police’s prime suspect.
Barrett Carnahan as Jake
Barrett, who began his acting career with roles in the series Grey’s Anatomy, Drop Dead Diva and Modern Family, will play Jake.
As the captain of the football team and the boyfriend of Addy, Jake seems to have it all, but it’s never enough.
Mark McKenna as Simon
Mark is an Irish actor, musician, and singer, and is mostly known for having starred in Sing Street and Wayne. In this series, he will play ‘The Outcast’ Simon.
Simon is a brainy outcast and the creator of a gossip app that holds the entire school captive – kind of like Gossip Girl. His posts are juicy, snarky, cruel, and most importantly: always true.
He takes pride in exposing his classmates as the “liars and hypocrites they really are.” Even though all of his classmates read his app, they also all hate him for it.
Melissa Collazo as Maeve
21-year-old actress Melissa recently starred in Swamp Thing and Lena And Snowball, and she’ll be taking on the new role as Maeve in One of Us Is Lying.
Maeve is Bronwyn’s little sister, who developed a tough demeanor while losing years to a childhood fight with Leukemia. In remission now, she’s eager to make up for lost time.
Jessica McLeod as Janae
Having appeared in You Me Her, Andie the Great and Van Helsing, Jessica is ready for her new role as Janae in Stan’s new series.
Janae is a punk outsider who hates her fake classmates, and is left angry and alone when her only friend, Simon, is murdered.
Rather than simply grieve his death, she promises to honour his bitter legacy.
