If you were hoping for something a bit special for the 10 year anniversary of One Direction then good news! An alleged unreleased song by the boys has reportedly leaked.
According to Capital.FM, the previously unreleased song, “Half the World Away,” first appeared on the 25th of August on a recently made YouTube channel called The One Direction Archive. Within less than a day, the track had over 400k views and within hours, the channel had over 40k subscribers… before the clip was pulled from the platform.
Ofc, that wasn’t before fans quickly nabbed the file and shared it themselves.
The song is allegedly a demo of a song written by Harry Styles in 2013 that hasn’t left the studio’s walls until now. In the song, Styles sings about heartbreak, confessing, “it kills me you’re not around.”
This is reportedly the chorus:

The leak is giving many Directioners hope that the boys might be releasing more of their old creations for their tenth anniversary. As some fans theorise, the fact the channel was made recently and that the only content they’ve posted is the leaked track could mean that “it’s one of the boys or someone with connections” behind it. And if so, “are they going to leak more?”
Others think that the fact the description box of the OG video mentioned it was the first official unreleased song could mean there’s more to come.
