When Nina Dobrev’s bestie Julianne Hough posted a series of shots of the Vampire Diaries star in hospital, fans immediately became concerned.

On Sunday night Julianne – who’s one of the judges on America’s Got Talent – took to Instagram to post a series of (pretty hilarious) shots from the emergency room.
“Well, this is my night at the emergency room on a Sunday night with guess who?” Julianne wrote on her Instagram story.
“Haha most of you guessed immediately! Ohhhhhhh @nina Momma J’s got you… crystals and all 💛 💛 💛 💛 💛” Julianne wrote over a selfie of poor Nina with her face hidden by a sunglass emoji and an oxygen mask.
Well, now we now why Nina was in the hospital and why her face had to be hidden. Turns out Nina suffers from severe allergies and often has to go into the hospital due to anaphylactic shock, which makes her face swell up.
“A lot of people have expressed concern after seeing Julianne’s story. I’m okay,” Nina began.
Nina continues: “It’s pretty routine/has happened to me quite a few times because I have a lot of allergies.
“Depending on the severity I sometimes go into anaphylactic shock as a result.
“But Jules was with me and the doctors at Cedars were AMAZINGso back at home now, and I’m OK. Appreciate your thoughts, I’m fine, and I’ll be fine! Xo.”
Nina then took a selfie to show her fans that she’s back at home with a deflated face.
“See? Back at home,” Nina began.
“Swelling is basically gone. We’re all good over here. Love ya Jules. Thanks for being my mom…again.
“Okeeee. Well, I’m going back to sleep.”
Well, case closed fam! Turns out Nina just gets a bunch of allergies.
