Harry Potter may be like, 20 years old, but that doesn’t mean that to this day… people are finding new hints and clues throughout the books and movies.
The newest one has an interesting connection to the new franchise, Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them.
The movies show Newt Scamander travel around New York with his magical creatures, however it is set years before Harry Potter ever goes to Hogwarts. Like, 1926 to be exact.
So why then, is Newt shown on the Marauder’s Map from Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban????
The map, as we know, shows the exact position of everyone in the castle by showing their name.
Twitter user El Profeta noticed New’s name, and wrote to J.K., “@jk_rowling Joanne, I need to know why Newt Scamander appears in the Marauders’ Map when, in the movie, Fred and George give it to Harry.”
How’s THAT for foresight?!
Newt would have to be very old if he was really in the castle at the time, but heck, weirder things have happened.
