Finally, the extended trailer for John Green’s award-winning novel’s 8-part TV series Looking For Alaska has dropped!
Consider this another binge-worthy show to add to our lists.
The limited series centers on teenager Miles “Pudge” Halter (Charlie Plummer), as he enrolls in boarding school to try to gain a deeper perspective on life.
He falls in love with Alaska Young (Kristine Froseth) and finds a group of loyal friends. But after an unexpected tragedy, Miles and his close friends attempt to make sense of what they’ve been through.

The series stars Kristine Froseth, Charlie Plummer, Denny Love, Jay Lee, Landry Bender, Sofia Vassilieva, Uriah Shelton, and Jordan Connor. Ron Cephas Jones (This Is Us) and Timothy Simons (Veep) also star.

The series is produced by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, the masterminds behind iconic teen dramas The OC and Gossip Girl — so you know it’s going to be good!
It’s been in the works for over a year now. What’s so fun about the series is that it is set in 2005, which is PEAK nostalgia.
“We worked really hard to make sure pretty much all the music that’s in the show is from that year,” Schwartz explained at the 2019 Television Critics Association press tour on July 26. “It was pretty fun — I got to pull out some of my O.C. playlists that I had back in the day, music that never made it onto the show. It was like revisiting moments.”
The series is set to premiere in the US in October on Hulu, so you’ll have to stay tuned to see where you can watch it in Australia.

Looking For Alaska will premiere on Stan 19 October
