People on TikTok are trying to recreate Never Have I Ever’s spiciest shirtless scene featuring literal dreamboat Darren Barnett… and proving just how hard it is to flawlessly take your shirt off with one hand AND look attractive doing it.
The scene is taken from the first episode of the Mindy Kalling-created Netflix teen comedy, which follows the life of first generation Indian-American high schooler Devi Vishwakumar (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan).
In it, Devi dreams of her high school crush, Paxton Hall-Yoshida (Barnett) entering her room, confessing, “I’m here to have sex with you,” before taking his shirt off and making us all feel a bit sweaty.
He does it quite flawlessly and as people who wear a lot of jumpers and try to take them off one handedly, we can only suspect black magic is at play here. In fact, as these TikTok attempts prove, we can’t all be Paxton Hall-Yoshida. Turns out taking your shirt off one handed is pretty hard to do.
But apparently some can.
