Modern Family star dies Dede Pritchett

For weeks we have been speculating on WHO will be killed off in the final season of Modern Family… and now, the wait is over.

The episode aired today in the United States, confirming that the big reveal was Delia ‘DeDe’ Pritchett (Shelley Long), Jay Pritchett’s ex-wife, and Claire Dunphy’s mother.

To say the least, fans were really disappointed, mainly because she has only appeared in seven episodes. The show has 214 episodes to date.

The show declared her as a “beloved” character on social media today, however, DeDe has only been shown as aggressive, manipulative and inappropriate during her time on the show.
