When the Duchess of Sussex steps out these days, the focus is usually all on her. But, stepping out for lunch on Friday, Jan. 18 in Notting Hill, the 37-year-old pregnant duchess’ dining partner swayed the public attention.
Meghan stepped out with Christian Jones, her new Deputy Communications Secretary, who was clad in a navy pea coat and plaid scarf.
Jones is employed by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, as well as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. According to Jones’s LinkedIn page, he’s been working for the royal foursome since December. Prior to his appointment, he acted as press secretary, speechwriter, and head of news for the Department for Exiting the European Union, or better known Brexit. Before that, he graduated from Cardiff University in Wales with First Class Honours in economics, according to E! News.
Jones, who works alongside Meghan’s personal assistant Amy Pickerill, will coordinate press visits and event details as well as regularly liaise with the media.
Despite his years of experience, people couldn’t help but comment on Jones’ good looks.
