Matty J and Laura Byrne share some really exciting news

Finally!

More often than not, reality TV couples don’t stand the test of time but preparing for an adventure-laden trip to New Zealand, loved-up pair Matty Johnson and Laura Byrne couldn’t be happier.

“Travel is something both Laura and I have been passionate about, even before we were together,” Matty in an interview with Laura, told WHO.

“So to be able to do it together has been amazing.”

For the couple who got together in front of the Australian viewing public on the 2017 season of The Bachelor impromptu trips abroad may soon be a thing of the past.

“We always talk about starting a family,” Byrne says. “Matty wants them right now.” But it’s not just Johnson who is keen, with jewellery designer Byrne, who opened her store ToniMay in Sydney’s Paddington earlier this year, saying, with a laugh, “I’m very clucky.”

“To be honest, Matty and I talk more about having children than we do about marriage so we’ll probably have kids first,” Laura continued, who despite social pressure does not see marriage as high on her priority list.

“For me personally, as long as I’m with a man that I love and we have a family, that’s all that matters,” she says.

While the duo have no plans to wed anytime soon, they can’t wait to move in together later this month.

“We’ve spent forever spending one night at my place and one night at Matty’s so it will be nice to be in the one place,” Laura says. For now, the brunette will live with the marketing manager at his home in Bondi in Sydney’s eastern suburbs until the couple find their own place.

Which might be easier said than done, with Laura conceding her boyfriend has a few “diva demands”: “Matty has a checklist of what he wants the place to be like, whereas I’ll live anywhere,” she says with a laugh.

“I need to live by the beach,” Matty says. “And I need a lock-up garage and two bedrooms.” Asked if that extra bedroom was for a nursery, “We would love to have two kids—a boyThis and a girl,” Byrne says. “That would be my dream,” Matty agrees. “A boy first then a girl.”
