Yesterday, leaked text messages between Married At First Sight stars Mikey Pembroke and Stacey Hampton revealed that they had engaged in an ~illicit affair~.

Despite Stacey, the mother-of-two vehemently denying it, Mikey has since confirmed the news himself to News.com.au.
“I can confirm we did have sex, but it was clearly after Natasha and I had agreed with producers that our relationship was over, and Natasha knew we weren’t together,” Mikey said. “I actually didn’t want this (story) out as it’s not the best way to end my time on the show, but it did happen.”
For Stacey, she told New Idea that the rumours were not true.
“Nothing happened between Mikey Pembroke and I. No sexual relations. Nothing. I can guarantee that. And I can sit here and swear on anything,” she told the publication.
“I understand where the rumours came from. We did share coffee and we did hang out,” she said, adding, “I swear that Mikey and I have never shared any sexual intimacy.”
But with Mikey’s confession and the fact that Stacey’s on-screen husband dumped her over the scandal, it does seem like the leaked messages ring true.
“I’m more disappointed at Michael than anyone,” Stacey continued. “If this is how he takes one rumour then he needs a lot of help because honestly there’s going to be a lot of rumours going around in life.”
The above messages show Mikey’s point of view, texting a contact labelled ‘SC’, which is to be assumed as Stacey. The conversation shows that the pair spent a night together, and that one of the show producers wanted them to stay away from each other.
“Are you coming tonight,” Stacey asked Mikey, with Mikey responding that the producer wouldn’t want that.
“[She] doesn’t want me near you haha,” he wrote to which Stacey replied, “Lol do whatever you want to do. If you don’t feel right then don’t.”
Stacey also dished that she had to return Mikey’s clothes from the night before.
“I still have some of your stuff here which I’ll deliver to you at some point lol.”
