Finally, what we have all been waiting for… Married At First Sight’s Michael Goonan has responded to the cheating scandal between his TV wife Stacey Hampton, and Mikey Pembroke.

After the news broke (and the messages leaked between Mikey and Stacey), it was revealed by an insider to New Idea that Michael dumped Stacey after he heard the disappointing news, despite Stacey denying the affair.
Chatting to Nova 100’s Chrissie, Sam & Browny this morning, Michael talked about the scandal.
“Mikey saying it happened, Stacey saying it didn’t happen. I’ve made my mind up. I’m not going to sit here and throw stones at Stacey, she’s a gorgeous girl. That’s her job to convince Australia on that one.”
He continued: “It does seem like something happened, I mean we don’t have to be a rocket scientist to work that one out!”
Clearly, Michael believes something happened between Mikey and Stacey, especially after Mikey confirmed it.
However, Stacey has admitted that she is disappointed with Michael for believing the rumours.
“I’m more disappointed at Michael than anyone,” Stacey told New Idea. “If this is how he takes one rumour then he needs a lot of help because honestly there’s going to be a lot of rumours going around in life.”
“Nothing happened between Mikey Pembroke and I. No sexual relations. Nothing. I can guarantee that. And I can sit here and swear on anything,” she also said, adding “I swear that Mikey and I have never shared any sexual intimacy.”
Mikey told News.com.au yesterday that the deed was done.
“I can confirm we did have sex, but it was clearly after Natasha and I had agreed with producers that our relationship was over, and Natasha knew we weren’t together,” Mikey said. “I actually didn’t want this (story) out as it’s not the best way to end my time on the show, but it did happen.”
