MAFS: Tracey hits back at claims she’s ‘abandoned’ her daughter

Married At First Sight’s Tracey Jewel has hit back at critics who slammed her for moving to Melbourne with new partner Sean Thomsen and leaving her eight year old daughter in Perth.

Speaking to News.com.au, the reality star insisted she wasn’t ‘abandoning’ daughter Grace.

‘Everyone just thinks I’m abandoning my child, and it’s absolutely not the case,’ Tracey said, explaining she currently sees Grace ‘at least one night a week and more in school holidays’.

The MAFS star went on to explain that Grace lives with her father and stepmother, who have their own children together.

Tracey confirmed to New Idea last month that she and Sean are moving to Melbourne together in June or July, and Grace will have her own bedroom in their apartment.

‘There’s no way I’ll spend any more than a month without seeing her,’ Tracey said, saying she’ll fly back to Perth to see her little girl on weekends and Grace will visit in the school holidays.

‘Just because we don’t have a traditional situation doesn’t mean I’m hurting my daughter.’
