If there has been ONE thing we’ve been looking forward to in 2020, it was the Lizzie McGuire reboot.

WATCH: Hilary Duff reveals Adam Lamberg returning as Gordo in Lizzie McGuire reboot

Unfortunately, we’re going to have to put a big fat ‘POSTPONED’ on that dream, because the show is currently on hold.

According to new reports, show creator Terri Minsky, who was the original showrunner, has LEFT!

Right now, there is no replacement announced bt Disney, but we’re sure they’re on the lookout for someone to fill the role. ASAP.

“Fans have a sentimental attachment to Lizzie McGuire and high expectations for a new series,” a Disney spokesperson told Variety. “After filming two episodes, we concluded that we need to move in a different creative direction and are putting a new lens on the show.”

This certainly means that Terri Minsky wasn’t agreeing with the direction the show was going in…

With Lizzie McGuire not being a high school student anymore, we can only imagine how hard it would be re revive this show and NOT f*** it up. Especially with how successful the OG was.

Hilary Duff is set to return as Lizzie, along with Adam Lamberg as Gordo, Hallie Todd as Jo McGuire, Robert Carradine as Sam McGuire, and Jake Thomas as Matthew McGuire. There have also been talks of Ethan Craft (Clayton Snyder) returning.

Fingers crossed everything works out soon!
