In the wake of his public split from Miley Cyrus, Australian actor Liam Hemsworth is said to be leaning on his close pal, Delta Goodrem for support. An insider close to The Hunger Games star revealed to New Idea that he’s been in contact with the singer, whose “good energy” has helped him get through this difficult period.
“They’ve spoken a fair bit recently and they go way back,” the source dished. “He just wants to surround himself with people like Delta, people who make him feel good about himself and have good energy.”

Although the “Born To Try” songstress is in a happy relationship with fellow musician Matthew Copley, the insider claimed she has plans to meet up with Liam in secret and offer advice and support as a concerned friend.
Eleven days after their split broke made headlines, Miley was slapped with accusations she cheated on Liam with her current girlfriend, Kaitlynn Carter. After dozens of insiders close to the situation slammed the star for her “reckless” actions, Miley shut down claims infidelity spelled the end of their decade long relationship.
In a series of Tweets and an Instagram post, the “Slide Away” singer— whose estranged husband filed for divorce last week— said “there are no secrets to uncover here”, revealing she called it quits with Liam Hemsworth after realising it was time to “leave a previous life behind”.
“I can accept that the life I’ve chosen means I must live completely open and transparent with my fans who I love, and the public, 100% of the time. What I cannot accept is being told I’m lying to cover up a crime I haven’t committed. I have nothing to hide,” said the singer, who recently returned to acting to star in Black Mirror.
She continued: “But the truth is, once Liam & I reconciled, I meant it, & I was committed. There are NO secrets to uncover here. I’ve learned from every experience in my life. I’m not perfect, I don’t want to be, it’s boring. I’ve grown up in front of you, but the bottom line is, I HAVE GROWN UP. I can admit to a lot of things but I refuse to admit that my marriage ended because of cheating. Liam and I have been together for a decade. I’ve said it before & it remains true, I love Liam and always will.”

Although Miley and Liam’s families were “begging” the pair to reconsider their split, the Isn’t It Romantic actor rounded off their split by filing for divorce. According to PEOPLE, he cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their breakup. The publication also confirmed the pair signed a prenuptial agreement ahead of their marriage, so an easy divorce is said to be expected.
Upon hearing the news her husband of less than a year had officially moved on from their relationship, the “Mother’s Daughter” singer “was shocked”.
“She didn’t expect it and is a bit disappointed, but she is still doing well and has obviously moved on as well,” the source said.
“What she and Liam had for a long time was very special. It’s just hard for her to think that she will never have this again with Liam. There are really so many things that she loves about him.”
Since separating from Liam, Miley has been flaunting her new relationship with Kaitlynn, with an insider recently claiming the couple were seen “basically having sex” at Soho House in West Hollywood.
“They were obsessed with each other,” said the spy who was analysing their every move. “They couldn’t keep their hands off each other. They were kissing and making out everywhere. In the bathroom, at the bar, in the middle of the floor. They were basically having sex. There’s no question they’re together.”
