The Method Kendall Jenner Is Using To Help Control Her Anxiety

Its popularity is booming.

Kendall Jenner has spoken openly about her ongoing struggles with anxiety and in a recent episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, the model revealed the methods she’s using to help her mental health.

In a conversation with her mum Kris, Kendall discusses the events that have triggered her anxiety like her sister Kim Kardashian getting robbed, dealing with her own stalker, and facing pressure on social media.

“It’s hard just to get your brain to slow down,” the 22-year-old says. “I think now that I can sit here and can verbally say that, it will help me take the time [to] really address it.”

Later in the show, Kendall is shown in the midst of a sound-path practice, which some say can help manage the condition.

The process involves a practitioner utilising various instruments like Himalayan singing bowls, crystal bowls, gongs, biosonic tuning forks and shamanic drumming to create “healing” sound. Proponents believe that it calms our nervous system by slowing brain waves from an active or beta state to a relaxed or alpha state.

The practitioner asks Kendall which part of her body needs tension relief, she answers her head.

“I like feel distant and out of it all the time and like my anxiety is just crazy and that’s it.”

While there is little specific research on whether sound bathing works, studies have found music therapy to have a variety of benefits.

The star also shared that she’s likely to pass on Paris Fashion Week this year in a bid to help her recovery.

“I wasn’t gonna do Milan, but my agents we’re like, ‘You should do Milan and then if you don’t want to do one of them, just don’t do Paris,” she said.
