We speak for everyone when we say our hearts broke just a little bit when footage of a supposedly married Justin Timberlake holding hands with his co-star Alisha Wainwright during a night out surfaced.

The photos – that were obtained by The Sun and published over the weekend – show Justin (who’s been married to actress Jessica Biel since 2012) drinking and holding hands with Alisha, while they enjoy a night out in New Orleans with friends.

In the video, 30-year-old Alisha is also seen resting her hand on the Sexy Back singer’s inner thigh.
Look, while a married man with a kid at home holding hands with another woman is not what we would call ‘confirmation’ that cheating has occurred, it’s still not something we would label as ‘innocent’ either.
Since the photos blew up the internet, a source has told PEOPLE that despite the close hand-holding and Alisha resting her hand on JT’s knee, the whole situation was “completely innocent”.
“It’s a balcony with a group of people and it was definitely nothing happening,” the source told PEOPLE.
“He’s down there shooting [his film] Palmer, they’re starring in the movie together and they’re cool and everybody was just hanging out.”
The source continued: “The video may look a way, but literally it was nothing. It was some friends, members of the team, crew and people like that. They all know each other and were hanging. Like come on, they’re on an open balcony in New Orleans and he’s famous. It was nothing.”
TBH, we’re still not entirely convinced…but we could be wrong.
A rep for Alisha has since slammed the reports in a pretty blunt statement, claiming that it was a night out with a bunch of cast and crew and that there is ‘no validity’ to the rumours that Justin cheated on his wife with her.
“There is no validity to this speculation. They are currently working on a project together. Members of the cast and crew were all together.”
