Hello. In case you somehow missed it, we just got a new official The Kissing Booth 2 trailer and our excitement for the next instalment in this teen romance has never been higher.
The thing is, Elle, Lee and Noah got up to quite a lot of dramatic (and cheesy) high school antics in the first film. Seriously, how many fist-fights over a girl can one highschool possibly allow before there needs to be a serious look at these boys’ communication skills? Is this all just a ploy so The Kissing Booth can show off how hot Jacob Elordi looks when he’s tackling somebody? We dunno.
Thankfully, if you’re mixing up the order of tackling and kissing that went down in the first film, Joey King and Joel Courtney, who play Elle and Lee respectively, have just recapped the entire thing in just nine minutes.
The video sees King explain, “The Kissing Booth is a movie about a girl who falls in love with her BFF’s older brother.” Courtney immediately and jokingly interjects, “The end!” before the pair go on to explain what happened.
After the ol’ underwear table dance at the party (is this a 10 Things I Hate About You throwback?) and the rolled-up-together-in-a-curtain shenanigans Elle and Noah, of course, get together. They just… can’t tell anyone. King jokes that nothing brings and keeps a couple together like a secret—sarcasm very much detected.
The Kissing Booth 2 will stream on Netflix on July 24th. Refresh your memories with The Kissing Booth recap below:
