If you don’t like change, then don’t update your Instagram app… because something has HAPPENED and we’re struggling to cope with it.
WATCH: Instagram drops likes feature
While kicking it back after a long day yesterday, we noticed that something was off when we settled in for some Insta-stalking.
The section on the top right of the screen where the DMs usually sit was replaced with the familiar ‘love heart’ that holds your ‘likes’ and personal activity…
Why though??
This means that the DMs are now at the bottom, where the likes used to be.

It also means that all of our motor skills are OFF when we’re trying to be mindless on the ‘gram thanks to this little swapsies.

Our life has been turned upside down from this, and there is no way back.
You also can’t just slide your screen to the new ‘personal activity’ screen like you used to be able to with the DMs, and like you still can with the camera mode. You have to physically press the top right love heart to access that screen.
It’s just a hot mess.
As of right now, there hasn’t been much outrage online, meaning that not everyone has updated their app yet… but we are expecting the same level of confusion as to when Snapchat changed their entire layout.
#Changeitback. #Please.
