If we had to choose one star to play the leading man in the movie of our lives, Harry Styles would be at the top of the list.
But if that doesn’t happen in our lifetime, we’ll take this news as the next best thing.
WATCH: Everything you need to know about the upcoming live-action ‘The Little Mermaid’ cast
British bae Harry Styles is reportedly in talks to play the dashing Prince Eric in the live-action remake of The Little Mermaid!
Apparently, it’s not just his chiselled jawline, dark floppy locks and penchant for low necklines that make him a top contender for the role.
Sources say that Disney are keen to cast someone with epic pipes to help bring the iconic soundtrack to life — and we all know our boy Harry has that in spades.
Of course, he also recently proved his acting chops too, in his debut role in the Oscar-winning Dunkirk.
The 25-year-old was recently also up to play Elvis Presley in a biopic, but narrowly missed out to (another hottie), Austin Butler from Carrie Diaries.
If cast, Harry would be starring against the angelic R&B singer Halle Bailey as Ariel, Room star Jacob Tremblay as Flounder and comedian Awkwafina as Scuttle.
The hilarious Melissa McCarthy is reportedly also in talks to play villainous sea witch Ursula in the adaptation.
Whether or not Harry scores the role, he’s still a real-life prince in our hearts. But fingers crossed, because we think the deep seas could use some of Styles’ swagger!
