It’s no secret that *some* awards shows are rigged. Several A-list celebs including Katy Perry and Justin Bieber have publicly outed the shadiness of the award shows and now it’s Halsey‘s turn.
The American Music Award nominations were just announced and some of your faves scored noms including Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, Bruno Mars, The Weeknd… see what’s wrong with that sentence?
The nominees are mostly males despite there being LOADS of talented gals in the industry and Halsey is not happy!
She may have scored two nominations herself for “Closer” with The Chainsmokers, but Halsey was not shy to call out the AMAs on Twitter for snubbing all the ladies.
“Really honored to have received an @AMAs nomination but really disappointed to hear near exclusively male names… such a missed opportunity,” she tweeted.
“So many incredible female artists have released this year. hoping the coming award shows give them the credit that is due to them.”
