On the back of Pia Miller‘s announcement to leave the iconic Australian soapie, George Mason who plays Martin “Ash” Ashford has confirmed he’s leaving Summer Bay.
According to The Daily Telegraph, the actor will appear onscreen until the middle of the year and the reason he is leaving his gig behind is due to an opportunity to film movie, Daffodils, in New Zealand.
When asked about his time on the Channel 7 drama, Mason said it was “overwhelming” to play “a main character on such a big television show” but it “was a dream job”.
Mason has been on the show since 2014.
