According to Deadline, Westbrook, who is currently starring in The Resident and previously portrayed Magnolia in Netflix’s Insatiable, is about to become a series regular in Riverdale season 5.

Per Deadline, “Westbrook will play Tabitha Tate, the ambitious, entrepreneurial granddaughter of Pop Tate, who has come to Riverdale to take over Pop’s Chock’lit Shoppe in the hopes of franchising the iconic diner, even as the town around it struggles to survive.”

Speaking about the announcement on Instagram, Westbrook said, “So very excited to finally be able to share this news. Looking forward to a fun ride! See you soon, Riverdale… 😉❤️ #TabithaTate
