‘Insatiable’ star Erinn Westbrook joins ‘Riverdale’ season 5 as a series regular

Riverdale’s iconic dinner is about to get a new owner.

The new season of Riverdale will see a few new changes to the beloved hit CW series. Not only will it begin after a five year time skip and Archie Andrews may straight up die in the season premiere, but Pop’s Chock’lit Shoppe has a new owner—Insatiable star Erinn Westbrook.

According to Deadline, Westbrook, who is currently starring in The Resident and previously portrayed Magnolia in Netflix’s Insatiable, is about to become a series regular in Riverdale season 5.

Per Deadline, “Westbrook will play Tabitha Tate, the ambitious, entrepreneurial granddaughter of Pop Tate, who has come to Riverdale to take over Pop’s Chock’lit Shoppe in the hopes of franchising the iconic diner, even as the town around it struggles to survive.”

Speaking about the announcement on Instagram, Westbrook said, “So very excited to finally be able to share this news. Looking forward to a fun ride! See you soon, Riverdale… 😉❤️ #TabithaTate
